The Rufus Lin Gallery of Japanese Art is a fine art museum established by Rufus Lin. The gallery aims to introduce to North Americans some of the most talented artists presently working in Japan, who are generally unknown outside Japan. This includes both professionals and amateur artists.
All work is selected by a jury, based on a set of stringent criteria. Most of the collection consists of paintings based on Japanese themes and motifs. Our gallery refreshingly counteracts the ubiquity of popular Japanese culture and demonstrates that contemporary Japanese culture goes far deeper than manga and anime.
