Hot Springs

Halcyon Hot Springs near Nakusp (Dave Heath photo)

Halcyon Hot Springs near Nakusp (Dave Heath photo)

British Columbia boasts an amazing array of hot springs, many of which are located in spectacularly scenic areas.

The hot spring experience in BC can range from a developed pool with amenities and towel service, to a rock-lined pool surrounded by trees and a rushing river.

Some hot springs are situated in resorts, a few are in idyllic national or provincial parks, and others are in remote areas that can only be reached by hiking, paddling or chartering a boat or float plane. A large number of the British Columbia's hot springs are found in the Kootenay Rockies, but there are also hot springs on Vancouver Island, in the Northern BC region, and in the Vancouver, Coast & Mountains region.

For some suggestions on where to start soaking, check out BC hot springs trip ideas.
