Every year during the July 1st long weekend, BC's Lake City rolls out the welcome mat for people to enjoy several days of action-packed rodeo excitement and a weekend filled with adrenalin.

Come out and see some of the best cowboys perform. Events include bull riding, ladies barrel racing, bareback and saddle bronco riding, steer wrestling and tie down roping.

These events and many more all come together to create a great family fun-filled rodeo and community-wide event - the world famous 87th annual Williams Lake Stampede in British Columbia's cowboy country - the Cariboo!

North America's largest co-ed slo-pitch tournament with more than 5,000 players participating in this 29th annual event. From competitive to very recreational, players from across North America and as far away as New Mexico, participate in this award winning tournament.

With the beautiful Okanagan as a background, Funtastic sells out each year, especially the highly popular Costume Division. Funtastic occurs over the July long weekend starting on June 28 and also hosts an outdoor music festival presenting some of the biggest names in classic rock such as Kim Mitchell and Nazareth. This grass court tennis tournament is staged at the 126 year old South Cowichan Lawn Tennis Club.

Play starts on June 28 and finishes on July 1.

In the event of rain, indoor hard courts may be used.

Lawn tennis has been played at the club since 1887. It is one of the oldest lawn tennis clubs in the world and the oldest club in Canada still playing on grass.

This tournament is sanctioned by Tennis BC and is on the Tennis BC Senior Circuit.

BC Bike Race is a seven-day mountain bike adventure that takes 500+ international participants from Vancouver to Vancouver Island, down the Sunshine Coast & via Squamish to Whistler.

The Bella Coola Rodeo, one of the largest amateur rodeos in Western Canada, takes place on the Canada Day weekend. A rodeo in this small community is a wild event, as cowhands show their skills kicking off with a gymkhana, and competing in bronco riding, barrel racing, calf tie-down, team roping, bull riding and the infamous cow patty bingo. A broad range of food and refreshments are offered, including the famous "Rodeo Burger." The weekend winds up with the popular Bullarama, where contestants have an opportunity to bid on their own cowboy and win a share of the substantial purse.

Fernie has a little bit of every kind of riding imaginable. There are steep, singletrack uphills, technical downhills, flowing bermy trails, rainforest routes & leisurely fun trails.

Furious3 incorporates these & more to make the perfect mountain bike challenge. Three days of some of the best trails & terrain that British Columbia & Canada has to offer.

One of the biggest compliments this race gets is that the courses are spectacular & challenging & the competitors' friends & families can come out to support the riders.

Come along and watch some excellent youth soccer matches at the Les Sinnott Memorial Boys Provincial Cup tournament (formerly the B Boys Cup).

The tournament is an eight team round robin leading to single elimination knockout matches. It features the under 13 and under 15 age groups.

It is hosted by 100 Mile House and District Youth Soccer Association.
