Kaslo May Days Celebration - Kaslo

The Victoria Day weekend has been celebrated in Kaslo with a three day festival for 120 years. The highlight of this celebration is the annual May Pole Dance performed by the 1st graders of Kaslo. Kaslo is home to the longest consecutive annual Maypole Dance in North America. Logger Sports Competition, Sk8Park Demonstration, Show N Shine Antique Car Show, horse show and Slo-Pitch ball tournament. Artists, craftsmen, musicians and performers are featured in Vimy Park throughout the weekend. The annual May Days Parade on Monday tops off the celebration.

Insights into Vikings domestic live, death rituals, the significance of their craft, the power of mythology and the symbolism of their ships are explored in this interactive exhibition. See hundreds of artifacts - jewellery, swords, axes and clothing - some one of a kind, and many of which that have never been shown outside Scandinavia. You'll find the Village of Clinton located 39 kms north of the Trans-Canada Highway #1 and Cariboo Highway #97 junction. This community, with its colourful history of well over 100 years and its unique western atmosphere, was founded as a direct result of the "boom" of the Cariboo Gold Rush.

Our majestic century-old locomotive "3716" thrills young and old alike as she steams along the track and into Prairie Valley Station. For one day local garden centres and plant enthusiasts will be bringing their lovingly grown veggies starts, hanging baskets and garden ornaments downtown. From 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Front Street Park will be transformed into Kaslo's very own garden store. You can check out the large variety of plant, seed and wildcrafting vendors, as well as local artisans who create great additions for any garden.
