Located just outside of Abbotsford, this annual May Day celebration is one of few left of its kind in the Lower Mainland. We start with a delicious pancake breakfast followed by an exciting parade including the Abbotsford Mayor, Councillors & MLA Mike deJong. After the parade, we host opening ceremonies with May Pole dancing by Bradner Elementary students. The rest of the afternoon is a Country Carnival with exhibits, rides & games. Visit the concession for a burger, some delicious cotton candy or enjoy some homemade desserts with tea & coffee at the May Royalty Tea Room.

Don't miss a minute of the fun of the longest running May Day Parade in BC! Festivities include a pancake breakfast, May Pole Dancing, rides and vendors in Fort Langley Park, the famous Fort Langley Lions chicken BBQ at the Mary Avenue Food Court, free admission to Fort Langley National Historic Site all day, displays and activities at the BC Farm Museum all day, clothing swap and exhibits open at the Langley Centennial Museum all day.

This is Victoria's largest parade event; complete with marching bands, floats, clowns & more. If you wish to watch the whole parade it will take at least 3 hours to pass by, so come prepared - bring a blanket or a folding chair, drinks & snacks to keep you comfortable. Don't forget an extra jacket if it is cool, & an umbrella if it is raining or hats & sunscreen if it is sunny! The parade starts from Mayfair Mall at 9:00 am & proceeds along Douglas Street, finishing at the intersection of Douglas & Humboldt in the downtown core.

This annual event takes place on the Monday of the Kaslo May Days Celebration. Visit the Front Street Park from 9:00 am-3:00 pm to enjoy a variety of activities. Purchase locally grown plants and seeds, browse among the unusual and exciting garden features created by local artisans and take advantage of free workshops highlighting organic gardening practices, bear friendly composting and controlling invasive plants. This festival is a must see for all gardening enthusiasts.

Watch for our float in the 91st annual Fort Langley May Day Parade (11 am), followed by a community fair. All day, explore the fort, feed the farm animals, and watch historic weapons demos. Regular admission applies, free for annual pass holders.

Once again Festival participants will enjoy local musicians, sightseeing boat tours, seafood booths, shellfish cooking demonstrations, presentations, live shellfish sales, kids' activities, and special menu items at the restaurants - there are activities for everyone! Special rates are offered by Lund's accommodation providers and bus service to Lund is provided from Powell River for only $2.00 per person. The Lund Shellfish Festival is a green event because recycling bins are placed at strategic locations. This event produces no garbage.
