The Terry Fox Run is a non-competitive event where individuals, families & groups get together to raise money for cancer research.

Terry was a Canadian cancer activist who, in 1980, with one leg amputated, embarked on a cross-Canada run to raise money & awareness for cancer research.

Although the spread of his cancer eventually forced him to end his quest after 143 days & 5,373 km & ultimately cost him his life, his efforts resulted in a lasting, worldwide legacy.

This annual run, first held in 1981, now involves millions of participants in over 60 countries & is the world's largest one-day cancer research fundraiser.
