There are Kids games, a treasure hunt, & money in a sand pile game. Watch the Tractor pulls and Horse pulls. Catch the light horse, cattle, sheep, and pet shows too. Cheer on the contestants at the Talent Contest and the "So You Think You Can Dance Fort St John" style competition. Come to the Dance on Friday and/or Saturday evening and kick up your heels to the country tunes performed by the talented Jack Jackson.

Located just 21 km north of Fort St John on Rose Prairie Rd. Family camping is also available, so plan on staying for the weekend!

This year the Lions Clubs of Greater Victoria are proudly combining their forces to bring one of the most iconic & memorable events to the Saanich Fairground. Representing a colourful tradition & ceremony through the horse & scarlet uniform, the RCMP created a spectacle known around the world as the Musical Ride, providing Canadians from coast to coast with the opportunity to experience part of our heritage & national identity. Live entertainment. Come meet the horses & riders. All proceeds from this event supports BC Easter Seals Camp Campaign & Victoria Therapeutic Riding Associations. A celebration of food, farmers and the joys of biking, Slow Food Cycle Sunday Pemberton blows the fast-food drive-through away. A pedal-powered trip through the natural buffet that is Pemberton Meadows farmland, to meet local growers and sample produce fresh from the field.

The World Watch Institute reports that the average food item eaten in North America has travelled 2500-4000 km from farm to table. The distance between good food and your table is as short as a 50 km bike ride!

Vintage cars will be on display along with a myriad of different types of handmade quilts while strolling downtown Ladner. There are over 10,000 visitors and more than 100 classic cares, polished and gleaming in the sunlight. The streets of Ladner Village are filled with entertainment, food and merchandise vendors.

Children can enter their teams, with the eldest in the group determining the age category (ages 6 & under, 7-9 or 10-12). Up to 4 competitors per team. Excellent prizes for the best creations & all participants receive a goody bag! Many families plan their stay in Parksville around this event. Admission is free & the event is run completely by Quality Foods staff volunteers & their families. Watch the website & QF stores for pre-registration forms about 1 month before the event.

Be a Pioneer Kid for a whole week at Huble Homestead Historic Site! School aged children can learn all about being a kid 100 years ago by getting their hands dirty with pioneer chores and then learning old fashioned games and crafts, playing with pioneer toys, and getting a taste of history by helping make delicious treats like butter and ice cream. Registration must be completed through our partner, Big Brothers Big Sisters PG (bbbspg.ca). The site will remain open to regular visitors.
