Gray Creek Museum Days, an annual event organized by the Gray Creek Historical Society, with changing displays of photos, artwork, artifacts and stories from Gray Creek's early and recent past. This year the landmark Gray Creek Store turns 100, and will be featured in a display at the Hall, along with numerous other exhibits, small and large. The Hall is a century old log hall on the east shore of Kootenay Lake, on Highway 3A, 15 minutes south of the Kootenay Lake ferry, and 1 hour north of Creston.

Celebrating our 50th year, Powell River Sea Fair, a tradition since 1963, brings together the community for fun in the sun in the last weeks of July. There are contests before & during the big weekend, a variety of entertainment, local vendor displays & a carnival. There are fireworks on Saturday night & Sunday is family day with activities focused on the little ones.

A weekend of fun for the whole family! The festivities of Ukee Days kicks off with a scrumptious Salmon BBQ. The next morning begins with a pancake breakfast & parade. Each July, the Trinidad & Tobago Cultural Society of BC presents the Caribbean Days Festival. This event draws a crowd of exuberant fun-lovers to North Vancouver's Waterfront Park for a weekend of parading, dining and dancing in the sunshine.

This is a weekend of tropical rhythm, cuisine, carnival and culture as only the Caribbean can offer. Over the years, the Festival has grown into the largest Caribbean event on the local calendar -- and with tens of thousands of attendees, possibly the largest cultural event of its type in BC.

The annual Willi Muller Memorial Challenge is July 27th - August 4th. A para-gliding and hang-gliding cross-country race. Glider pilots fly their longest distances with a bonus for being able to fly back to Golden Eco Adventure Ranch. A person's best three flights count toward the total. This fun competition has been taking place for over 10 years.

The Celebration of Light is not only Vancouver's biggest event, but it's also the largest offshore fireworks competition in the world & attracts up to 400,000 spectators along English Bay each evening. Owned by the Not For Profit Vancouver Fireworks Festival Society, 2013 marks the 23rd consecutive year of the event.

Then carry on, inciting your taste buds; it's time to uncork some new flavours. Several local wineries have selected their best vintage wines just for you. All proceeds will go towards the Colwood Rotary Picnic Playground at Westshore Parks.
