In 2015, we will be celebrating the 36th Annual Kamloopa Pow Wow, one of the largest celebrations of First Nations' culture and heritage in Western Canada.

The Pow Wow is a spectacular expression of the Secwepemc people's heritage and is a vibrant display of storytelling, song and dance in traditional regalia. It represents many years of stories and events from previous years packed into 3 exciting days at the Secwepemc Pow Wow Grounds, located 2 minutes from the city centre, alongside the South Thompson River in Kamloops.

This three day event honours the prime industries of Northern Vancouver Island: Forestry and Fishing and our Festival. The Logger Sports event depicts the past and present logging practices through entertaining competitions between loggers. The Campbell River Salmon Festival is the largest of its kind in Canada for prize purses and number of events.

In keeping with our name, we will be presenting the 8th annual Seafood Cook-Off. Friday will be the Oyster cooking Contest and Saturday and Sunday will be various seafood competitions and demonstrations. There is something for everyone at the 48th Annual Campbell River Salmon Fest!
