The Fair is held annually on the Sunday before BC Day. 'The Earliest Fall Fair in British Columbia'. Why a fall fair in the summer? Simple. The Fair was in the fall, but, it was windy and or rainy. We checked the Farmer's Almanac, local farmers and ranchers and the Sunday before BC Day is the prime time for the weather, a Fall Fair in the summer.

The Fair is about agriculture on Haida Gwaii, and, to encourage people to grow, display and enjoy their own produce and livestock.

The Fair is a non-alcohol event bringing people from all over the islands and around the world for a fun filled day of exhibits, food, live music and vendors.
