Celebrate the Holidays at Capilano Mall with Santa and Mrs. Claus - North Vancouver

Santa will be taking photos with Capilano Mall visitors everyday until December 23rd. From Monday to Saturday he will be available from 11:00 am-1:30 pm, 2:30 pm-5:00 pm and 6:00 pm-8:00 pm. On Sundays he will be taking photos from 11:00 am-1:30 pm and 2:30 pm-5:00 pm.

Santa will also be taking photos with your furry family members during Pet Photo Nights on Monday, December 1st and Monday, December 8th from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm.

Mrs. Claus will also be taking part in the holiday fun at Capilano Mall, come and decorate cookies with her on Saturday, December 6th and Saturday, December 13th from 12:00 pm-3:00 pm.

All throughout December the Magic of Christmas features fabulous illuminations, holiday wreaths, carolers, brass bands, ice skating and festive dining, making for an exciting and memorable experience. Enjoy the outdoor ice rink lit up with soft twinkling while listening to live, seasonal music. Warm up by the toasty fireplace after a skating session with a hot drink in hand. Kids are invited to get creative and bring a decorated paper snowflake from home to deck out the Coffee Shop; they will receive a cup of hot chocolate as a thank you! Canyon Lights, has a tall order this year - laying claim to the home of the world's tallest living Christmas tree! Standing 46.4 m (152 ft) tall, this Douglas-fir will be adorned in thousands of sparkling lights.

Though other communities claim to have the tallest living Christmas tree, Capilano's 250 year old Douglas-fir rises above the competition.

Park guests will be dazzled by the thousands of lights glittering throughout the rainforest, across the Suspension Bridge & on CLIFFWALK. A children's scavenger hunt, gingerbread cookie decorating, sing-a-long carols with the holiday band are all back by public demand and new this year create your own Christmas card and enjoy holiday treats in the Winter Pavilion.

Free shuttle service available from Canada Place.

The Stanley Park holiday train has been a Christmas tradition in Vancouver for more than 20 years. The train winds through the forest past three million sparkling lights while the aromas of hot chocolate, fresh popcorn & roasted chestnuts bring back festive childhood memories. Kids can also visit Santa in his "living room" at the train station & explore stunning holiday displays throughout the plaza. Admission to the plaza is free, but tickets are required to ride the train ($11 for adults & $8 for children & seniors); children 3 & under ride the train free. Discounted matinee tickets are also available ($6 for adults, children & seniors).

An amazing community light up in a wonderful Island hillside community. Beginning on the last Thursday in November and runs until the second Sunday in January. This annual event draws 1,000s of visitors to Ladysmith. Light Up Night is a must. Santa even shows up to turn on over 150,000 festive lights. Following light up there is an amazing festive parade with brightly lit floats that goes down the main street. This is followed by the "turn on" of the giant Christmas tree and the evening wraps up with an awesmome firesorks show sponsored by the LDCU. Light Up night is always the last Thursday in November.... it's the island's most amazing family event!!!
