With activities such as wagon rides, horse farming exercises, Royal Engineers Living History Demonstrations - "Dresses, Drawers & More" and "Guns of the Cariboo 1865-1900", ice-cream making, gold panning, heritage games, and more, this is the perfect opportunity to explore BC's heritage. The menu for this event will include beef stew, chicken soup, home-made biscuits, pie with ice cream or sponge toffee. Music provided by local Cottonwood musicians.

The Fernie Writers' Conference is a celebration of writers and writing with courses, readings, panel discussions and other events forming a educational experience for writers and readers alike.

The conference brings award-winning writers from across Canada to instruct, read and present to a diverse audience from BC and beyond.

The conference culminates with a two-day festival of writing and reading that is open to all.

A fun-filled weekend with something for everyone to celebrate! Starting with PyneStock; a concert showcasing the talents of local musicians in a variety of genres. Then Bull Riding in the Rockies, an exciting evening of a cowboy supper, mutton bustin', professional bull riding and dance. Kicking off the Valley Appreciation Day is a pancake breakfast and continuing with live entertainment, Farmers Market and activities for the whole family. Finally, the Lake Windermere Regatta committed to ensuring that Lake Windermere remains a healthy, functioning ecosystem for future generations. The Regatta includes sailing, swimming and canoeing races; waterskiing and rowing demonstrations.

Join us for our 40th annual Billy Barker Days Festival and celebrate in Cariboo style!

This wonderful event is British Columbia's largest free family festival. It is a true community collaboration.

Events include live music and entertainment, a rodeo, a kids' day, a seniors' day, a parade, fireworks, concessions, midway and more.

The 101st anniversary of the Aldergrove Fair, the oldest continuing running fair in the Fraser Valley (1912-2013). It starts Friday with Classic Car Show'n Shine food, music and more. Saturday & Sunday have fun for the entire family with entertainment, rides food, and great things to see and buy throughout each day.. Mainstage entertainment events include the annual Canadian Fast Draw Championship, kids rides, 4H animals, agricultural & historical displays/presentations, artisans, weavers/spinners/woodturners, dancing dogs, alpacas, pony rides, vendors & lots of food. Free pancake breakfast Sunday morning.

The 6th Annual BALLFEST SLo-Pitch Tournament is set to take place July 19-21, 2013. This is a super fun tournament and a great weekend for all!! Building on the successes of past years we will continue on in much the same fashion and hope that we will see 20 teams participating this year. We will also be adding Friday Night Games and a welcome dinner to the Friday Night Cabaret Party.

We are very excited about this year's car show. Brothers Insurance Agency has stepped forward to be our sponsor & we are kicking things up a notch. This year we have invited the Blues Brothers Too! tribute act & they will keep us entertained all throughout the day on Saturday. We are also including trucks & motorcycles to this year's event - all makes & models of cars are also welcome. We will have a drive-in movie night on Friday (movie title TBA) as well as our annual "Junk In Your Trunk" Swap Meet.
