Since 1972 Rossland has hosted this annual fall fair held on the weekend following Labour Day. The Rossland Fall Fair is held in conjunction with another community event Golden City Days.

Categories include fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, canning and preserving, home baking, carts and crafts, sewing and needlework of all kinds, photography, eggs, butter and honey. Hamburger stand, music and art show as well.

Just like Christmas and Thanksgiving in the West, the Moon Festival is one of the most important traditional events in Chinese culture. The Festival honours the full harvest moon symbolizing peace, prosperity and family reunion. "Moonlight and Mooncakes: Mid-Autumn Moon Festival" features family friendly activities, live traditional music, tales and legends of mid-autumn moon and tasting delicious moon cakes from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. As the sun sets, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, the Garden turns into a magic romantic place, guests can send their wishes to the moon by placing floating lotus lanterns in the pond, watch the beautiful mid-autumn moon from the Garden's ting and enjoy special wine.

The festival flagship has long been the Coho Festival which is held the second Sunday after Labour Day each year. Several thousand people attend this event to take in exhibits in our sustainability zone, to enjoy outdoor entertainment by the water in Ambleside Park, West Vancouver, to participate in children's activities and to enjoy our famous salmon barbecue (Wild Alaskan Salmon, which is in abundant supply, is served). The festival is also a venue for Coho Kids to raise funds for salmonid programs in the classroom.
