47th Annual Campbell River Salmon Fest - a 3 day event honoring the prime industrive of Northern Vancouver Island: Foresty and Fishing and our Festival. The Logger Sports event depicts the past & present logging practives through entertaining competitions between loggers and is presently the largest in Canada for prize purses and number of events. Host Drum Eya Hey Nakoda from Morley, Alberta will be driving the beats of tradition calling on Nations to gather and the general public to assemble to witness the celebration of our culture.

The Nikkei Internment Memorial Centre, dedicated to the collection, conservation, research, exhibition, and interpretation of objects which represent the life and condition of Japanese Canadians living in the New Denver and West Kootenay region between 1942 and 1957, is celebrating its 20th Anniversary! We will be inviting taiko performers, martial arts demonstrators, Nikkei artists and presenters, and will also be offering a tasting of Japanese foods and beverages. We will be holding a fundraising dinner and a silent auction open to the public to help support the ongoing preservation of this important National Historic Site of Canada.
