Beautiful quilts, special displays, merchant's mall, concession, raffle quilts, door prizes, members' store, Scavenger Hunt for children & hands on demonstrations including Crazy Quilting, Charity Sewing, hand quilting & more. Eagle Ridge Community Centre, 1089 Langford Parkway, Victoria, BC Friday and Saturday, 10 am - 6 pm, Sunday 10 am - 4 pm, Admission $6 for the weekend.

This open-air market is surrounded by rose bushes, trees & gardens as a backdrop, with stairs & benches for sitting. All goods for sale are grown or crafted locally, it is a true source of local produce & merchandise.

Enjoy a day of family oriented activities ranging from a Farmer's Market, Quesnel Bagpipe Band, Highland Dancers, horse-drawn wagon rides, arts and crafts, and heritage games. Music will be provided by Eddie DeSouza. Enjoy a barbequed hamburger or hotdog served with vegetables & dip, ice cream cone and beverage. Admission to the site is half price ($4.50) for families.

Although Emily Carr described herself as an isolated little old woman on the edge of nowhere, her work has a universal appeal. With this exhibition, the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria will become the premiere destination on Vancouver Island to visit and learn about Emily Carr through her paintings. On the Edge of Nowhere will include a historical survey of Carr's artistic career, featuring pieces in all the media & styles she explored & perfected. It will also focus on Carr's influences & inspirations, such as European modern art, members of the Group of Seven artists, First Nations artists and Carr's spirituality.

We have a good selection of organic & conventional farmers selling produce, fruits & berries, plus prepared food vendors with breads, fish, jams, beef, honey, vinegars, pickles, salsas, pastas & baking, as well as a great variety of crafters selling jewelry, pottery, artwork, skin care & much more.

The Coquitlam Farmers' began in 1997 as a small summer market with a few vendors, and has grown to boast a weekly Sunday market from Mother's Day to Halloween; and a twice a month Winter market from November to March.
