If there was ever any question about rock 'n' roll being alive and well, the answer has arrived in the form of Monster Energy's Rock of Allegiance Tour. The late summer trek will feature four game-changing rock bands from four different countries, with Volbeat, HIM, All That Remains and Airbourne on the bill.

"The fans have made our North American visits thus far great fun and truly memorable," Volbeat frontman Michael Poulsen said. "We're looking forward to headlining Monster Energy's Rock of Allegiance festival tour this summer, and sharing the stage with HIM, All That Remains and Airbourne."

Over five days beginning Wednesday, September 11th, come and join in the building excitement downtown led by a renowned international 3D chalk artist who will create a 20 by 20ft 3D chalk art drawing at The Bay Centre's lower level, centre court. Then on Saturday and Sunday, September 14th & 15th, the 3D artist's efforts will be complemented by a two-day chalk art exposition on streets across downtown Victoria! Both international and local artists will present works on the pavement of Government Street, Broad Street and in Spirit Square.

For one day only each year, the Creston Museum gets covered in quilts! Antique quilts, modern quilts, and everything in between, all on display in the Museum's exhibit galleries. Some of the quilts are from the Museum's collection; many are on loan from local quilters. Some of them are even for sale. The display is different every year, and every year we have at least 100 quilts and quilted items on display. The Quilts for Kids quilters are on site and working, with refreshments and quilt blocks for sale.

The Annual Kootenay Lake Fall Fair has many family activities, judged exhibits, market, crafts, music & entertainment for the whole family. 102nd Annual! A yearly event and one of the oldest fairs in the province. It was an amazing event last year with, raffle baskets, outside activities, tea, games for the kids, live music and also a "Best Of.." taste testing. Last year it was the Best Chocolate Chip Cookie and the Best Pesto!

The 8th annual Quadra Island Paint Out happens with the support of Firesign Art & Design and the Heriot Bay Inn, in conjunction with the International Plein Air Painters (IPAP) & the 11th Great Worldwide Paint Out.

On the Saturday, artists will paint at various locations at Rebecca Spit Provincial Park.

On the Sunday afternoon there will be an exhibit of the weekend's work & a reception at the Heriot Bay Inn. The public is invited to view the art & meet the artists.

This event is happening simultaneously around the world as part of the 11th Great Worldwide Paint Out.
