The 48th Annual Princeton & District Agricultural Fall Fair is an event for all ages. Come enjoy the many agricultural exhibits, children's activities, demonstrations and competitions. Visit the vendors offering great food, information on their business and all kinds of items for sale.

The Marron Vally Drill Team will be there at the grand opening (10:00 am) and will also have a show running from noon until 3:00 pm. Horseshoe Tournament runs Saturday with registration at the pitch at 10:00 am. BINGO Saturday & Sunday. Live music Saturday night in the Beer Gardens.

Don't miss the old-fashioned Cobble Hill Fair. This real country fair & exhibition has delighted visitors with agricultural displays, livestock & great family entertainment since 1909. Events include: pancake breakfast, parade, blacksmith demos, sheepdog trials, livestock shows, hall exhibits, horse show, 4-H shows, kids games, trade show, all-day entertainment, vintage machineries, 4-H livestock auction & much more.

Pender Island Farmer's Institute has been celebrating this beautiful Island community for 50 years! The gates open at 10 am with a colourful parade winding through the grounds at 10:30. Adjacent to the Pender Island Farmers Market, enjoy displays of animals, produce, crafts & educational exhibits. Children's play areas, show ring & guest speakers. The fair offers an outdoor beer garden & a terrific Beef BBQ with chilli for just $5 at 5 pm. Come one, come all to help us celebrate this landmark event.

Steveston Village and the waters of the Fraser River will come alive with the 4th Annual Steveston Dragon Boat Festival on August 24, 2013. More than 40 teams are expected to compete in fun and exciting races. There will also be trained instructors and steers people on site all day long to teach on-the-spot dragon boat paddling, a fun activity for all ages. Brand new mountain biking event provides spectacular riding in the Kimberley Nature Park and Nordic Centre. Field is limited to 150 adults (22 km or 44 km solo, relay team of 2) and 100 youth.

Sam Roberts Band & Special Guests bring their music to CedarCreek's spectacular Vineyard Pavilion on August 25th. The gates will open to ticket patrons at 6:30 m with the concert beginning at 7:00 m and playing until the sun sets.

The Tofino Lantern Festival is our 'signature' community event and fundraiser, drawing the young and old with an unbelievable variety of handmade lanterns. The Tofino Lantern Festival was born in 2001 & since then has grown to feature local musicians and artists and includes a 'permanent collection' of locally created West Coast lanterns. Many of these lanterns are modeled on local flora and fauna, such as mushrooms, sharks, flowers, fish, owls, banana slugs and trees, but there is also a village worth of houses, a constellation of stars, a galaxy of planets, a yard of recycling lanterns and much, much more.

Together with the more than 20 agricultural divisions, competitions, interactive displays and demonstrations; be sure to take in the Kids World, music stage, logging show, Wrangle Tour Finals Rodeo, educational activities, petting zoo, midway and visit the many commercial vendors.

2013 will be the 36th Victoria Classic Boat Festival. The Victoria Classic Boat Festival is a juried event that has been held in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada for 36years. The Festival attracts the finest power, sail, & steam boats from the Pacific Northwest & around the world. A number of the vessels will be open to the public over the weekend in addition to the activity of the smaller boats, motor & steam running around the harbour. The Sunday morning Sailpast is always a great spectacle.
