The 2013 Pride Parade travels through the downtown core, along Denman Street & ends at Sunset Beach Festival site. The parade entries include colourful floats, musical marching bands, community groups and 650,000 spectators. Pride takes over the streets & rainbows fill our city at the largest one day event in Vancouver. This is the must-see event of the summer! Celebrations continue during & after the Parade at the Sunset Beach Pride Festival. Join us in the park, listen to live music & enjoy the headliners on the Festival Stage. There will be booths with products and services & a private, beachfront beer garden.

Victoria Symphony Splash is an annual Victoria Symphony event that takes place on a floating stage moored in Victoria's Inner Harbour. It includes musical entertainment, food, souvenirs & the evening's highlight: a live performance by the Victoria Symphony. Many people arrive early to ensure they have a good view of the barge for the orchestra performance at 7:30 pm. Kayakers & canoeists can moor their craft near the barge to listen to the music from the water. Donations accepted to support the Victoria Symphony.
The concert concludes with a performance of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, complete with bells, cannons, & fireworks.

The Fraser Valley "G" Scale Model Train Club will run trains; miniature horses will be on display & Aldor Acres' rabbits for the kids. Demonstrations of wool carding, spinning & weaving on the loom. Free coffee and Timbits from Tim Horton's Cruiser on-site from noon to 2:00 pm. We will sell orange-flavoured drinks for the kids and coffee for the old fashioned price of 25 cents per cup. The popular "Scavenger Hunt" will be available for families to enjoy. Admission by donation of a loonie.

The museum opens at 10 am and closes at 4:30 pm. The train runs from 11:00 am - 4 pm, on the half hour. Regular admission rates apply and this event is included in BCFDC memberships.

Best of the West is an event where West Vancouver will be celebrating BC's best (timely with BC day). There will be 13 participating wineries and 13 participating restaurants. The restaurant will be in charge of creating a dish to go with the wine given by the winery. There will also be a competition that night. The guests will be asked to choose the best food and wine pairing of the evening. There will be a draw from the people who entered their vote. The winning person will receive a gift certificate from the winning restaurant for $100.
