Feast of Fields, a 4 hour wandering harvest festival, is our annual fundraising event. With a wine glass and linen napkin in hand, you can taste the very best of BC from chefs, farmers, fishers, ranchers, food artisans, vintners, brewers, distillers and other beverage producers from across the province. Feast of Fields highlights the connections between farmer and chef, field and table, and farm folks and city folks. Feast of Fields is a gastronomic journey towards a sustainable, local food system. Last year we celebrated our 20th Anniversary,and this year we are presenting our 20th Metro Vancouver Feast, our 17th Vancouver Island Feast and our 6th Okanagan Feast. Come celebrate with us!

The Dance Centre's popular Discover Dance! noon hour series leaps into a new season, with an exhilarating performance of African dance by Jacky Essombe. Born in Cameroon, Essombe is well known for her inspiring teaching and performances that express the cultural traditions and ancient rhythms of West and Central Africa. This interactive presentation features Essombe and her team of dancers and musicians in a program of high-energy dances, live drumming and singing that is steeped in the poetic imagery and wisdom of her ancestors, creating an experience to excite the eyes, engage the spirit and refresh the soul. There will be an artist talk back after the show.

Welcome to the Annual Pender Harbour Jazz Festival. Once again, we have a line-up of world class musicians playing fabulous jazz in different styles, from Afro-Cuban to Bebop to Swing. The 5Peaks series (Kids 1 km, Youth 3 km, Sport 5 km, Enduro 11 km) runs from May to September throughout the different cities in the Kootenay Rockies region.

This stop also includes a Half Marathon (21 km).
