The 13th annual Father's Day Poker Run is a 5 card stop run that begins in Castlegar at Joey's Only Restaurant with breakfast and Registration until 10:00 am. Touring the West Kootenay Loop, local riders enjoy a great ride while receiving 1 card per hand purchased at each of the 5 stops throughout, with lunch available at the Salmo Hotel. The last stop returns to the Lions Head Pub this year, around 3:00 pm, where riders and non-riders alike will be able to enjoy great food and beverages along with prizes and great entertainment including the usual tricycle races.

Kicking Horse Culture presents 'Summer Kicks 2013' Down by the Bridge Concerts. Free shows for all ages from 7-9pm throughout the summer. Ride your bike to Summer Kicks and let Golden's Bike Valet look after your bike while you kick back and enjoy the music! The Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge is the longest free spanning timber frame bridge in North America. It was built by volunteer timberframers who came from world wide to work on this project. It also connects the Rotary Walking Trail to the downtown area.
