Join one of Surrey's largest celebrations for youth! Activities are happening all day, with something for everyone. The 10th annual Youth Fest event features an outside stage with local youth bands and entertainment, a break-dance battle, skate and BMX bike demos, game zone, walk on water, sumo wrestling, extreme sports, free activities, food vendors and much more! There are 40 youth-focused resource tables where young people can learn about resources in their community. Free Youth Fest shuttles will provide a safe ride to and from the event from Recreation Centres all over Surrey.

Every fall the Windermere Community Association hosts the Fall Fair & Scarecrow Festival. This year is the 14th annual. Events include judged entries of flowers, vegetables, fruit, baking, canning & photography. Craft demonstrations & display booths cover the school grounds adjacent to the hall & include blacksmithing, quilting, bent willow furniture making, wood carving, interesting foods & jewellery. This is a family day with lots of events for the kids, such as races, face painting, fish tank, clowns, the Windermere Fire Department, the egg catapult & dog shows. Great food is served all day. Les Amusements de la Chambre presents Ha¨ndel's Salon, a concert of chamber music for soprano, violin, and piano by George Frideric Händel. The program includes a selection of Ha¨ndel's English songs (HWV 228), a fascinating group of works that offer a glimpse into London's rich and varied musical life of the early eighteenth century. These beautiful works are rarely heard in live performance in Canada, so this is a concert experience that is not to be missed! The last week in September, we will celebrate BC and World Rivers Day with events and activities that honour the Fraser River. Inspired by the river, RiverFest will kick off with the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup and wrap up with a free, family-friendly festival consisting of art exhibits, interactive activities and crafts, live music and dramatic performances, River Tours, the annual Salmon Chowder Cook-Off, and the famous Lucille Johnstone Work Boat Parade.

RiverFest will be presented free to the public and will consist of art exhibits, interactive activities from conservation organizations and community groups that build upon the river and environmental themes. Live music and entertainment will complete the weekend offerings for an exciting, family-friendly festival atmosphere.
