Verano 2013 is a two day exhibition and sale of works by some of the best artisans in the Okanagan Valley. The show and sale of handmade works by creative professional metal sculptors, silversmiths, painters, fabric artists, clay sculptors will be held at the farmers' market garden space in downtown Osoyoos, after the August long weekend. Public general admission to the show is free.

Annual Lakeside Event promises to be yet another exciting edition of Canada's longest running light aviation meet. This fly-in is great fun for spectators and pilots alike. Hang gliders and Paragliders take off from Mt. Swansea and descend to targets on the beach and in the water beside the Lakeside Pub on beautiful Lake Windermere. There is also an aerobatic contest for Paraglider pilots above Lake Windermere.

Whether you are a serious competitor or a walk-in-the-park person, Loop the Lake is the event for you, your friends & your family. Complete as much of the course as you choose, at your own pace & comfort level. This 17th annual event welcomes walkers, runners, strollers & the whole family. The Lakeside Splashdown event involves paraglider & hang-glider pilots launching from Mount 7 in Invermere & attempting to land in a lake target for prizes. Enjoy 2 wonderful lakeside events.

The Pacific Association for Recreating the Middle Ages actors & members take proud in displaying their medieval dresses & attires. Let them show you their tools & creative masterpiece. Be inspired by their stories & join the entertainment.

The Arc'teryx Squamish 50 is a TOUGH RACE and a truly unforgettable trail ultra experience. With over 85% singletrack and more than 12,000 feet of climbing and descent topped off by stunning sweeping vistas across glaciated snow capped peaks that jut straight out of the Pacific Ocean, this course may just take your breath away (get it). 3 different races 50 mile starting from the Squamish Oceanfront; 50 km starting from Alice Lake Provincial Park, and 20 km starting from Quest University. Finish line is downtown Squamish.

The Delta Community Animal Shelter is holding its annual animal expo; a fun, free community event that promotes animal safety and awareness of the shelter and animal care services available to pet owners. Multiple rescue groups with a variety of small animals will be out to educate the public about their organizations and the services they provide. The event will also feature a stage that will showcase dog trainers, dog bite prevention education for children, wildlife management and fun activities.

Nearly Neil & the Solitary Band, performing in CedarCreek's spectacular Vineyard Pavilion, will deliver a dynamic and passionate tribute to Neil Diamond on Sunday, August 11th. The gates will open to ticket patrons at 6:30 pm with the concert beginning at 7:00 pm and playing until the sun sets.

Come join us at Mission Raceway Park for a three day concert with a great lineup of guest performers including our guests of honour Big & Rich, Joe Nichols, kids under 12 are free with an adult except in the reserved seating area. We'll also have the biggest best beverage garden in the Lower Mainland including our famous beef on a bun and a Beer right in the garden. If you're gettin' hungry, we'll have lots of concessions to choose from.
