Ballet Kelowna presents the extraordinary Canadian premiere, and the only Canadian engagement, of The Ashley Bouder Project.

New York City Ballet Principal Dancer, Ashley Bouder, will be joined onstage by an ensemble of New York City Ballet's most remarkable company dancers to present a performance experience of the highest calibre. The much-anticipated premiere will feature excerpts from Don Quixote, Swan Lake, Agon and the Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux, as well as the groundbreaking Canadian premiere of Rouge et Noir, choreographed by Kelowna-native Joshua Beamish.

Tickets are available online. $73 for adults; $63 for students & seniors and $33 for children.

The Dancers of Damelahamid and the Museum of Anthropology (MOA) at UBC present the 2015 Coastal First Nations Dance Festival. An annual celebration of Indigenous stories, songs, and dances, artists from Arizona, Alaska, Yukon, Washington, and throughout British Columbia will each showcase the brilliance of their individual culture. This year's festival will also feature enhanced educational offerings including a new Artist Talk with award-winning Haida artist Terri-Lyne Williams-Davidson.

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Alpine Skiing World Championships is the first event of its kind to be held in Canada for either alpine or para-alpine skiing. The 10 day event will see athletes from over 30 countries compete in five para-alpine disciplines (Downhill, Super G, Super Combined, Giant Slalom & Slalom) and a team competition.

The IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships, along with the Winter Paralympic Games are the most prestigious level of international competition in Paralympic Alpine Skiing.

In 2014, Shelley Reid (recently retired RBCM Registrar) enjoyed a tour of Alaska and the Yukon, truly the last frontiers of North America. Shelley will share the experiences she had on a variety of expeditions including the Alaskan Railroad into Denali National Park, a sternwheeler cruise on the Chena River and a boat cruise through Prince William Sound. Come and enjoy sights of wildlife on land and sea including grizzly bears, caribou and humpback whales. Urban highlights will include Anchorage, Fairbanks, Dawson City, Whitehorse and the metropolis of Chicken, Alaska (population 17)! Time: Noon - 1:00 PM
