Since 2005, the Chetwynd International Chainsaw Carving Championship has visually shaped Chetwynd into a one-of-a-kind locale. Artists from all over the world compete in this unique competition. The District of Chetwynd keeps each intricately carved piece from the championship, and places them along pathways, in parks, and around gardens throughout town.

Come and enjoy the artistic talent of some of the best carvers from around the world.

Walk it, Run it, Charge it, Fun it! The 5 km Foam Fest is the latest and greatest obstacle run. Featuring mud, water, foam and over 16 obstacles. Open to ages 8 and up.

Canadian owned and operated, this run is great for all abilities, families, groups, friends and teams.

We have a kids' zone for the little ones and all racers will receive a complimentary t-shirt and finisher's medal, as well as other goodies. 365 Sports limits the amount of tickets sold to ensure a great running experience. This festival also helps raise money and awareness for Habitat for Humanity and the Canadian Cancer Society.

The TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival has been called "North America's most comprehensive and consistently rewarding jazz showcase" and "has set the standard for excellence, creativity, and positive energy."

Produced by Coastal Jazz & Blues Society, the Jazz Festival is a colossal event that draws well over half a million people to its 35 indoor and outdoor stages. The Society also produces concerts for the annual Winterruption Festival, numerous year-round concerts and education and outreach programs like TD High School Jazz Intensive and musician workshops.

Coastal Jazz supports so much diverse music in the city that it is the foundation of music in Vancouver, inspiring the city's soundtrack.
