1920s Fraser Valley living history site with costumed interpreters. This 2 ha (5 ac) BC Heritage attraction includes our 1906 General Store Museum, Manchester House Hotel, Post Office & First Nations exhibit. Friendly farm animals & wonderful Orchard Playground. Restaurant, Gift Shop & Special Events. Harrison Mills is also home to the Kilby Park, located within walking distance of the historic site at the confluence of the Fraser & Harrison Rivers, on Harrison Bay. The park features our scenic 22 site campground, a day-use area, sandy beaches, nature trails & a boat launch which is open year-round. Both operated by a non profit society.

Explore town history, multiculturalism, turn-of-the-century settlement, the 1950s Alcan Project aluminium smelter construction and Haisla arts and technology. Additional displays feature the geology, flora and fauna of the Kitimat Valley and the sea life of Douglas Channel. The temporary gallery offers changing exhibitions of arts, culture and history. We also offer summer programs for children. Visit the Museum gift shop for aluminium giftware, First Nations designs, jewelry, books and clothing. While in Kitimat, enjoy the Museum's four self-guided walkway circle routes and interpretive signs.

One of the oldest community museums in the province of British Columbia, its collection of artifacts began in 1928. Its doors have been open to the public since 1958 and its permanent displays range from a presentation of First Nation artifacts to stories of early Langley pioneers and merchants. It's rotating temporary exhibitions include contemporary and historic artwork to local history themes.

The Museum's giftshop features many unique items like glass, jewellery, clothing and artworks by local and provincial artisans intermingled with books about local and regional history. The Museum offers a wide range of public and school programs.

Explore British Columbia's rich maritime history through themed galleries where you will learn about explorers, fur traders and pirates; experience the hardship and adventure of whaling and seal hunting; and relive an era of graceful travel aboard Canadian Pacific ocean liners.

Visitors can also visit our restored Vice-Admiralty Courtroom where Judge Matthew Begbie once presided and take a ride in the oldest operating bird cage elevator in North America.

Visitors call the Museum at Campbell River on Vancouver Island "a gem of a place". Located conveniently on the Island Hwy, the Museum houses a fine collection of permanent exhibits that represent the unique culture & history of Northern Vancouver Island. Highlights include First Nations carvings & artifacts, the history of the logging & salmon fishing industries & interactive exhibits like a touch screen kiosk that especially intrigue young visitors. The Museum of Anthropology houses one of the world's finest displays of First Nations art in a spectacular building overlooking mountains & sea. We also host major temporary exhibits and display over 10,000 objects from around the world in our new Multiversity Galleries. The Museum of Vancouver (MOV) creates Vancouver-focused exhibitions and programs that encourage dynamic conversations about what Vancouver was, is, and can be. Permanent exhibitions tell the city's stories from the early 1900s to the late 1970s. At the MOV you'll experience art, contemporary issues, and history. Tours of exhibitions take place the first Thursday of each month. The MOV is located in Kitsilano's scenic Vanier Park along with the HR MacMillan Space Centre and Vancouver Maritime Museum, our beautiful 1960s building is a must-see for architecture lovers and is set against a spectacular vista of ocean, city skyline, and mountains.

Discover our fascinating history & modern day contributions to Canada's West Coast in our 1,486 sq m (16,000 sq ft) museum located in the Vancouver Island Conference Centre. Stroll through time in our main gallery to get a sense of what life was like for Nanaimo's earliest settlers & hear stories of the Snuneymuxw First Nation. Feel what it was like below the surface in our new replica Coal Mine exhibit. The museum also manages the Bastion, an original Hudson's Bay Company outpost built in 1853. Don't miss the cannon firing at noon daily in the summer.
