Kamloops, Beaches & Swimming

Riverside Park is a large city park with a number of amenities not offered at the other Kamloops beaches including:
• washroom facilities,
• concession stand (varying hours),
• beach with a life guard,
• a number of picnic tables and benches,
• kids water park,
• tennis courts,
• two playgrounds,
• large trees for shade,
• open grass areas,
• a pier,
• and is within easy walking distance to an ice cream shop (Scoopz) and a number of restaurants - yummy!
This is a great family beach and this is where I’d recommend if you’re traveling with your family and have no dogs.
Riverside Park is beautiful and I love to have a picnic there and then walk up to Scoopz to grab an ice cream.

The best time of year for XC riding in Golden starts in September. The official Moonraker trail crew and the unofficial volunteers have been improving the trails all summer, the blazing heat is finished, the autumn colours are emerging, and best of all, the bugs are dead. There are over 50km of trails on this expanding network, the first dusting of snow is on the surrounding peaks, and recent rain has made the trails tacky and smooth.

Vancouver, Car / Truck / Motorcycle
Hello,
I basically just wanted to share my story with the future 2010 Vancouver travelers.
About a month ago I tried to rent out a hotel in Vancouver since my sister and I have tickets. Unfortunately all hotels were booked. So we went on Craigslist and booked a condo, we wired money since the owners seemed honest and ready to rent us the condo. However, they ended-up selling the condo and taking our money with them.
We then went with a company called Rent For The Games, they found the perfect location for us, they guaranteed that our money would be protected. They offered us legal contracts and financial management! I am definitely recommending this company to anyone who is looking for Olympic accommodation!
Hope I was able to help a few of you!

Garibaldi Provincial Park comprises 194,650 hectares within the coastal mountains, and is perhaps Canada's most accessible and spectacular wilderness.
Raw and uncompromised backcountry, alpine meadows and glaciated heights, this scenically breathtaking area has endless outdoor opportunities, all within an hour of Vancouver.
The park is located 13 km north of Squamish, 97 km north of Vancouver along Hwy 99 on the road to Whistler.
