Here is a shot from Mudge Island, off of Nanaimo.  There are a string of small islands scattered amongst the Southern Gulf Islands from Gabriola Island south....they offer some of the most beautiful kayaking and boating opportunties we have ever experienced!  There are numerous anchorages and wonderful marina options throughout these small islands and in downtown Nanaimo itself.  Next time you visit Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, I strongly recommend you get out on the water (by tour-boat or kayak) and discover some of the most spectacular scenery BC has to offer!
