Salt Spring Island is a jewel nestled a short 30 minute ferry ride from Victoria. I find the rural, rustic charm combined with the pastural nature of the Island to be a throwback of a time gone by. The winding roads, hidden coves, and hiking trails that spot this island are a pleasure. The Village Market held every Saturday morning from spring through fall is a must see. The locals bring their arts, wares, and farm fresh produce and dairy products for all to enjoy. I only wish I could live there, yet am blessed to visit several times a year
