Well I just made it home from Fort St, John last night. It was a great little two day trip, my boyfriend and I saw 3 moose and a few deer as well! The drive down was beautiful; we left a bit later in the evening so the sun was setting over the mountains in the distance. Always perfect views!

We did a lot of visiting while we were there; we also went down to Peace Island Park, which is just on the south side of Taylor. Beautiful spot! I always find it to be quiet and relaxing. A mini getaway really close to Fort St John, BC. I always love going to the local "Hideaway." Instead of turning off into the Peace Island Park RV Park, we continue down the road and take a trail right across from the Big Bam Ski Hill.

It does take a bit of 4x4in' but always fun if you have a truck! Also you can park and hike in, it's only about 1 km into the river.

Fort St. John has a lot of great things to offer. My favorite part of is no matter what you want to do outdoor wise you can drive 10-30mins and find beautiful spots to go fishing, swimming or just have a campfire! There is the Peace River Island, Beatton Provincial Park, Kiskatinaw Provincial Park and also Charlie Lake. All within a reasonable driving distances!
