Vancouver really has some truly amazing museums and galleries, I went to the Museum of Anthropology and the Vancouver Art Gallery where the Leonardo da Vinci exhibit was on display. I even got to have a sneak peak at a rehearsal of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra at the Chan Centre, Wow, what a great day!

I paid a visit to the Aboriginal Pavilion in downtown Vancouver as well
as the Bill Reid Gallery and the
Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre up in Whistler where they received a
surprise visit from the Governor General of Canada Michaelle
I was amazed at the incredible artwork and carvings, the intricate detail and the dedication of the craftsmen. Everyone I met was had a wealth of knowledge and passion for sharing their culture.

I received an email from some friends that decided they wanted to show their enthusiasm and appreciation for Maelle Ricker's Olympic Gold Medal effort in winning the Snowboard Cross event. They painted a huge banner and then climbed up the face of the Squamish Chief and hung it for all to see! Maelle Ricker Rocks!

I started down at Stanley Park in Vancouver and then took a drive over the Lions Gate Bridge and then up to the Sea to Sky Highway. It was amazing, I stopped at a few of the towns alongs the way and checked out some of the viewpoints and attractions that line the highway. The weather turned on me just as I reached Squamish and the incredible massive of the Stawamus Chief but the mountain peaks were still visible through the clouds! Beautiful drive!
