Topic: The Penticton Elvis Festival is pleased to announce that Stephen Kabakos and Gino Monopoli will be headliners at the 6th Annual Penticton Elvis Festival, June 22 – 24 2007. Along with a special VIP guest emcee Red Robinson. Events for the Penticton Elvis Festival will be held in Okanagan Lake Park and the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre. For tickets and information please call the Visitor Information Centre in Penticton 1-800 663-5052 or visit our website www.pentictonelvisfestival.com--Extra Details: Stephen Kabakos: from Ontario, was first introduced to Penticton as a headliner at the First annual Penticton Elvis Festival,2001. http://www.tvband.com/ Gino Monopoli: from Ontario, was a competitor the first and second year of the Penticton Elvis Festival, placing 1st in the Second year. He returned as a headliner in year 3 and last year (year 5) www.ginomonopoli.com Red Robinson: Canada's first Rock 'n' Roll disc jockey to program the "new music" on a regular basis in Canada, and the first to play Elvis Presley records. In 1957, he was the MC of the Elvis Presley show at Vancouver's Empire Stadium. Elected to the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio in 1995 as a pioneer disc jockey, Red is 1 of 3 from Canada, and 1 of 90 overall inducted into Canada's Association of Broadcaster's Hall of Fame in 1997. Red was also inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in 2000. Red hails from British Columbia and attended the First Elvis Festival in Penticton.
