My son and I get up to BC every few years for a camping and fishing excursion.  On our last trip, we ventured over to Raven Lake for the day.  I'm a fairly light sleeper and woke up before the sun came up.  when it did, I was treated to something special.  With a light mist lifting from the lake, the sunrise was more than spectacular as you can see in the photo.  The fishing turned out to be just as rewarding when we found the Trout on the far side along the stumps.  Definately a majical day.

To sum up, BC has beautiful, eye-catching landscapes, from the mainland to the Vancouver island, especially the friendly capital Victoria with its marvellous harbour. Vancouver is most remembered for its public transit system which is much more affordable and logical than our province!

On the large circle drive around BC last summer we were lucky to land in a very special place. I do not want to say where that is. Suffice to say it is on the coast. To some one from Colorado it was coming home to a better place where I would not be baked by the sun.

The Temple in Victoria is a great restaurant.  Both the service and the food were exemplary.

Your visit to Vancouver must include a baseball game.  During a summer evening, there are no better places to be than the Nat Bailey Stadium.  Located in the heart of the city, it is very easy to go there using the transit system.  The local team, the Vancouver Canadians, is the farm team of the Oakland A's.  Don't miss your chance to see the stars of tomorrow.  You will also enjoy the view that will be able to have there.  The stadium is located next to the Queen Elizabeth Park, definitly one of the most beautiful place in Vancouver.  It is also the highest place in the city.  From there, you will be able to see Downtown Vancouver and the north shore mountains.  Don't forget to be at the stadium earlier than the beginning of the game if you want to enjoy the view.

SEE YOU AT THE NAT!!

The best time we had on our holiday was our stay in Ucluelet.

We stayed about one week there and went fishing with the Fishmyster.  In a matter of hours we caught our limit.  We could not believe how friendly everyone was in Ucluelet. Both my husband and I do not like big tourist areas congested with tons of people we like the off the beaten track places and so far Ucluelet is the place to go.  It did not matter whether we bought groceries or strolled along the piers....everyone was friendly, helpful and just a delight to visit with.  Because of how we were treated we are coming back again this summer for more fishing and relaxing.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful 2-week vacation during the summer, 2005, touring your beautiful province. We did the Cariboo Trail and as part of it we passed through Clinton. This is where we had our great find, but it involved your people more than the beauty of the province. We stopped at a hot dog stand in the middle of the small town. Two very nice women waited on us and afterward we sat at the picnic tables outside. After leaving and halfway to Lillouet, my wife realized that she had left her purse at the hot dog stand. Panic ensued and we raced back to Clinton, expecting the worse. Instead those women saved our vacation and gave us one of the best experiences of our trip, just humbling us with their kindness. When we arrived back, they were waiting for us with my wife's purse! We thanked them and they responded that it was just the right thing to do. This was the best find of our wonderful vacation in Bristish Columbia. Sincerely, Jim and Debbie Sfiridis, Farmington, Connecticut, USA
