My friend and I were in total awe over the seals.  We went down on the dock to try to get a picture, but because I had a digital camera we couldn't get a decent one.  A man from North Thormanby Island, moored at the dock, came off his yacht and offered us first a great pair of binoculars and then he put his dingy in the water and told us to paddle out to get pictures.  We had a riot, the seals were fantastic and we got this awesome picture.  His generosity was overwhelming.  When we returned with his dingy, his wife invited us in for tea.  What a great afternoon of visiting and learning about the local heritage.

There were a ton of memorable moments, but the best was the locals  incrediblekindness and willingness to befriend a couple of stranded tourists.  BC wannabees, thats what we were by the end of our vacation.
