If you're ever in Vancouver with your kids on the third Sunday of any month, you just have to go to Super Sundays at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

On Super Sundays the Vancouver Art Gallery transform the gallery space into a huge interactive, hands-on arts and crafts display. Families, kids in particular, are invited to paint, mould clay, dance, draw, sculpt; pretty much any activity that's art related is available. Each activity is led by one of the gallery staff, and every Super Sunday is themed around the current exhibit. Last time my family went, the exhibit was Emily Carr, and all the activities centered around her life and her work.

All the supplies are provided and very child gets to take home their creations, although the gallery does ask for donations to cover costs. It's a great way to let your kids burn off some energy, and who knows, you might be nurturing the world's next great artist.
