Kids jumping off the huge rocks along the shore of Kootenay Lake, around 10 kms south of Crawford Bay.  The lake is crystal clear and nice and warm, in spots.  What a rush!

View from the top of the Mountain Range, near Crawford Mountain.  View is of Kootenay Lake.  You could see the ferry going across every so often.  It was a very steep, long hike, but the gorgeous view was worth every step!

At the end of our week-long vacation in B.C., we drove to Deep Cove, a small, picturesque waterfront town with one short "Main Street" lined with shops and a few restaurants. After exploring the shoreline and sampling the town's playground with our 3-year-old daughter, we got daring and decided to take her out for her first ride in a kayak, available for rental from a waterfront shop. We paddled through the cove and into the fjord's deeper waters, marveling at mountains that emerge from the water's edge, reaching straight for the clouds. Our daughter was a little nervous, but the experience made us all the more sad that this would be our final few hours in B.C.

Having travelled from SW Ontario across the Trans  Canada Highway to visit my daughter in Pemperton, my wife and I decided to travel to Pemperton via the northern approach from Lilloet via scenic Highway 99.
The early October  weather was  mixed sun, rain showers and some snow showers.  The drive was great with wonderful scenery and suddenly after rounding a curve we witnessed a rainbow after a snow/rain shower passed by.

The position of the rainbow led us to pose infront of it.  A memorable moment but only one of many during a great trip through the Rockies in BC.

My daughter and husband both work at Whistler and that is another wonderful memory and another storey.
