Fishing is a great family activity. For the best chance at getting a fish on for everyone, visit one of the Cariboo-Chilcotin region lakes that are stocked with Kokanee, like Chimney Lake. As Brian Chan of the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC says, "Kokanee are a schooling fish which means they stay in groups. Once you find the fish, everyone in the boat is going to catch one."

Watch and see just how fun it can be. Then go to hellobc.com to find a guide or a lake you'd like to try.

There's a lot to do in Vancouver but if you're looking for something out-of-the-box why not try salmon fishing or crabbing? Just five minutes by boat and you're fishing with a backdrop of Stanley Park, West Vancouver and Kitsilano/UBC in the distance. When you find a guide on hellobc.com, it couldn't be easier. All you have to do is show up with a lunch!

Don't worry about your age or experience level. With the help of a guide, anyone can get their hands on a rod or help with the crab traps.

Watch our experience on a beautiful summer day and start planning yours, too!

The Kootenays Region is an adventure destination. Today's adventure is focused in, on and around the water. After adrenaline takes me from whitewater rafting to kayaking, Ainsworth Hot Spring is the ultimate spot for relaxation.

With more than 200kms of trails, Rossland is the king of the Kootenays when it comes to mountain biking. Though the region is a hot spot for riders, Rossland has earned it's title - the "Mountain Biking Capital of Canada." I was lucky enough to give a beginner trail a try, before a rowdy crew of riders showed me how it's done!

One of the longest dragons in North America, at 100-metres, highlighted Chinese New Year celebrations in Richmond, BC.  Huge crowds of all nationalities were wowed by the dragons, cultural dancing, Tai Chi demonstrations and more.  A high-flying lion dance was a spectacular delight and something you have to see to believe.  The day was filled with fun, entertainment and great food!  It finished off with a concert by the hottest band out of Taiwan, F.I.R and some amazing fireworks!  What a way to ring in the year of the tiger!

Grouse Mountain, the Peak of Vancouver is such a hot spot that NBC's Today Show is broadcasting LIVE during the Olympics.  The Mountain is open 24/7 which means you can ski, snowboard, skate or catch a live taping and then watch the sunrise.  In this video, I caught local singing sensation, Micheal Buble's performance live!

Getting around Vancouver area is a lot easier with the new Canada Line Skytrain system. From Richmond and Vancouver in just 26 minutes, you can hit all the best spots in the city along the way.  From Richmond Centre Mall to the Richmond Oval, to the River Rock Casino and we haven't even hit downtown!

The Canada Line also take you to Olympic Village where the Olympic Line Demonstration Streetcar will be running through February and March. Take a ride while you can!  It's so fun and convenient, I hope it will stick around but we'll have to see!

The Canada Line also connects you to downtown Vancouver where the other Canada Line and the West Coast Express begin.  You can virtually get anywhere in the city - cheap and conveniently!
