Soar hundreds of feet above the valley floor and whiz past old-growth forests at super-fast speeds… and then tell the world about it! Ziplining in Whistler is just one activity to share on Hellobc.com/blogs. (Toshi Kawano photo)

Whistler is my favourite place to vacation because walking is encouraged. Many kilometres of marked trails are readily available for the hiker. And in the evening, one can enjoy a myriad of dining experiences. Shopping seems to be a pass-time of many of Whistler's visitors, and there are countless spas to ensure you relax and enjoy.

Vridetv recently had the opportunity to ride our motorcycle up to a Cessna 172 plane in Squamish, hop in, and film a flight with Glacier Air to Whistler, British Columbia. The passenger door of the plane was removed for filming, allowing for an unobstructed view of the incredible scenery. Some of the points of interest featured are, Stawamus Chief Provincial Park, Howe Sound, Lake Lovely Water, Tantalus Provincial Park, Black Tusk, Whistler Village, both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, the Barrier lava dam and Garibaldi Lake in Garibaldi Provincial Park.

Last summer I had the pleasure to take the Whistler Mountaineer to Whistler. The trainride started with a nice champagne breakfast. After, we went out onto the viewing wagon to watch the breathtaking scenery. Before we knew it, we arrived in Whistler. The picture I'm submitting is one I took another time, when I was hiking around Whistler and the train passed us.

With family in from the Cayman's we went to the top of Whistler Peak to take it all in. Mid summer Whistler is a great place to be, with the vibe of the village, the mild temperatures at the top, and blue sky all around. Spending much of the afternoon gazing and shooting panaramics, it was hard for my brother, Richmond native, to leave. No beach in the Caymans can beat the beauty of surrounding mountains and the infamous "Black Tusk" at Garibaldi Park.

August 5-6, 2006 we participated in the Canadian National BBQ Championships in Whistler, BC.  Selected as judges for the competition, this had to be one of our most memorable trips to Canada.

Traveling from our home in Libby, MT to Vancouver then to Whistler was an incredible drive.  Then leaving Whistler, we ventured over the mountains and through the valleys to Lillooet, Ashcroft, Kamloops, Kelowna, and finally to Creston where we crossed back into the USA.

Friendly and caring people throughout our trip made this a never to forget adventure.  We eagerly are waiting for August to return for a repeat performance.

Without a doubt our greatest  BC experience was finding Shannon Falls.Breathtaking does not describe it.

On a drive up to Whistler, I happened to see a small sign at the side of the road and decided to stop.

We parked our car and followed the path along with other visitors. When I saw the falls for the first time all I could think was "If you didnt believe in God before This would Make you believe".
