On Tuesday, I made a trip downtown to Books and Company and the cafe within the store called Cafe Voltaire. While there, I decided to not only browse the hundreds of unique books that they have, but also to sit down and have a coffee with some friends. The ambiance is amazing and makes you feel like you can get anything achieved! In Cafe Voltaire, they have a create your own sandwich on the menu and offer a vast variety of things to create the ultimate sandwich. Everything is made on spot and is very fresh! The bookstore has many interesting books for anyone and everyone with several different topics. Great for the avid reader or just someone who is interested in finding that unique novel!

If you're looking for some of the best food that Prince George has to offer, look no further than the White Goose Bistro on 3rd Ave.
With everything from pasta to ostrich burgers to seafood, this restaurant is sure to please even the pickiest of eaters. And the best part - ten of their menu items are just $10 every day during lunch hours! My personal lunch favourite is the crispy chicken ceasar wrap...yum!
I've always had awesome food and fantastic service at the White Goose, and I encourage you to give it a try yourself!

If you're looking for a little up-scale lunching in Prince George that doesn't break the bank, consider the White Goose Bistro, a friendly but elegant little corner noshery in downtown PG.
Nab a window-side table if you can to watch the world go by while you wait for your food.
I had the Grilled Veggie Sandwich with basil mayo, goat cheese and balsamic reduction and mixed greens. All served with a cone of thin, ultra crisp sweet potato fries. My companion had the Chicken and Chorizo Pizza. Both were beautifully plated, fresh, hot and absolutely delicious.
The rest of the menu contains traditional favourites with some exciting novelties like roast beet salad with mixed greens, goat cheese, walntus in a sherry vinaigrette, or mussels in a saffron and dijon broth.
I can't wait to go back to try the dinner menu!
