Harrison Hot Springs, Accommodation
The Echo's on the Harrison River was an amazing find. Along the banks of the Harrison River, this quaint little hideaway is accessible only by boat. You get picked up at the Marina and wisked away to a little piece of heaven. We thoroughly enjoyed our little two night getaway from the hustle and bustle of every day life. The hosts are friendly and engaging, but know when to step back and let you enjoy the solitude of their property.
Dining on perfectly portioned meals prepared with that little bit of special TLC. Home cooking at its finest along with a gourmet's touch!!!
Breakfasts are delivered to your door (when you desire) along with a fresh pot of steaming hot coffee. Lunches are packaged for a picnic so you can enjoy them anywhere you please. The little cabins are warm, rustic and comfortable. Eco-friendly toilets, 3 piece bathrooms with full running hot and cold water, propane fireplaces and king sized beds greet you. Oh yes, I forgot, the hot tub!!! Warmed by a woodstove in the tub nestled in between huge granite boulders along the river, you can sit under the stars and enjoy a nip of wine while relaxing .... Simply put, we surely enjoyed this little gem and will be back again real soon!

Except from my name on the room reading as ‘Natt Samyciawoo’ I have nothing negative to say about our one night stay at the resort.
We had booked a campsite in Harrison but due to torrential rain we abandoned that plan and went to the nicest hotel in town instead (a wise move if we say so ourselves!).
The room was small and a little cramped due to it being old. We had lots of baby stuff including a crib in the room which didn’t help matters.
This hotel has six pools. Yes, six! They all get their hot water from the natural hot springs. They differ in temperature which is great for the whole family.
Some are indoors, the others outside. Oh, did I mention the spa as well? My wife had a pedicure while my daughter(2years old) and I bounced on the bed and watched nature programs with ‘monkeys’ and other animals she recognized .
The next morning included a buffet breakfast and a return to the hot springs to relax and play.
The room was $159 per night which is not cheap but rather than being damp or even wet in our tent we feel it was well worth the expense.
The true test of an hotel like this is “does it feel like you have been away longer than one night?” and the answer is a definite YES.

Harrison Hot Springs, Accommodation
If you are looking for a great place to stay in Harrison Hot Springs I would suggest you look no further than Harrison Heritage House. It was everything that we were looking for and more! Relaxing, comfortable and beautiful rooms (loved the oversized jacuzzi; great for two people). Great hospitality and wonderful ambiance, our 2nd year anniversary in this romantic B&B was a time to remember.
Also a warning that there are other places we checked out that say Harrison but are actually kilometers out of the Village, on busy roads or in the middle of nowhere. So do you your homework.
As to things to do we love hiking. We did Sandy Cove which was a great little hike that takes you to this secluded little beach and then we did Campbell Lake trail. Campbell Lake trail was a great challenge, takes a good 2-3 hours to hike up and its pretty steep. Really enjoyed it and at the end get to this little mountain lake. It was awesome. Highly recommend it but you need to be in shape. Afterwards we did the public hot springs. They are kind of ugly but the water was great. All in all a great trip.

If you've never been to Harrison Hot Springs, you need to. Whether you're from across the prairies or Vancouver - especially Vancouver, it's worth it. You don't realize how close to home so much is available.
On any day the breeze off the lake will attract sail boarding, kite boadrers, marine craft of all types andsizes and just beach bumbs. Beach activities like swimming and sand castle building happens at schduled events. There's a helicoptor ride and a river cruise you can take when it's available during the season. Renting a suitable boat is also available for that fishing or just picnic up the lake. Harrison Lake is forty miles long so you won't need to worry about crowds for a while.
If hoteling is your style, Harrison Hotel will satisfy every taste, not only in food but opulance. The Lake Side has an awesome buffet. If you're a garden buff, visiting Minter Gardens is a must. You'll see it just off the #401 as you turn north .
Golf is close by, so bring your clubs.
I hope this blog won't attract too many people and fill up the town so when I get there it there won't be any room.

Even though I live in the lower mainland, I needed a place to get away and de-stress. I knew of a brand new B&B that delivered just that and then some. Nestled in the Agassiz valley surrounded by beautiful mountains, Blackberrylane B&B pulled out all the stops to make our visit memorable.
Marlene's amazing homemade pie was the icing on the cake! If you're looking for tranquility, a place to hike or ride your bike, and still be just a few minutes away from civilization (Harrison Hot Springs), I highly recommend this wonderful B&B! www.blackberrylanebandb.com.
