Grouse Mountain, the Peak of Vancouver is such a hot spot that NBC's Today Show is broadcasting LIVE during the Olympics. The Mountain is open 24/7 which means you can ski, snowboard, skate or catch a live taping and then watch the sunrise. In this video, I caught local singing sensation, Micheal Buble's performance live!

I started down at Stanley Park in Vancouver and then took a drive over the Lions Gate Bridge and then up to the Sea to Sky Highway. It was amazing, I stopped at a few of the towns alongs the way and checked out some of the viewpoints and attractions that line the highway. The weather turned on me just as I reached Squamish and the incredible massive of the Stawamus Chief but the mountain peaks were still visible through the clouds! Beautiful drive!

Getting around Vancouver area is a lot easier with the new Canada Line
Skytrain system. From Richmond and Vancouver in just 26 minutes, you
can hit all the best spots in the city along the way. From Richmond Centre Mall to the Richmond Oval, to the River Rock Casino and we haven't even hit downtown!
The Canada Line
also take you to Olympic Village where the Olympic Line Demonstration
Streetcar will be running through February and March. Take a ride while
you can! It's so fun and convenient, I hope it will stick around but we'll have to see!
The Canada Line also connects you to downtown Vancouver where the other Canada Line and the West Coast Express begin. You can virtually get anywhere in the city - cheap and conveniently!

As the
Olympic Torch Relay took a short break over Christmas, I hit Revelstoke Mountain Resort in British Columbia with my red Olympic mitts for a rip & to test some HD helmet cameras that Santa gave me (see Santa in the Arctic in
this video). This ski hill has the longest vertical drop in North America, and when you get to the top you'll see it for yourself. What a mountain! At the end of this video you see a Ski Camera test go wrong where it explodes off my ski!
BC is also giving away a mountain so that means Revy could be yours! Check it out here!

The third and final day was an amazing end to a great weekend. Breakfast was gourmet-goodness which has been par for the weekend. The rock formations along De Courcy Island rocked my world. Check out all the cool patterns, caves, and bulges in these rocks. It's so cool!
Then if you needed more convincing of how amazing this trip has been, hear testimonials from other adventurers!

This is the second day of the Edible BC Gourmet Kayaking Adventure. The day started with the best breakfast I've ever eaten - yummy and hearty! It gave us the fuel to paddle over to Valdes Island to the "Cliffs of Insanity." The incredible texture and shapes of these cliffs were otherwordly.
We ate a delicious gourmet lunch at Blackberry Point before heading back to camp. Luckily we beat the rain!
And again- worked up an appetite for a delicious meal of duck! YUM!

This is culinary tourism at it's best!
Imagine...a weekend of exploring the gulf islands by kayak while every meal is expertly prepared by a gourmet chef using local organic ingredients. Yum!
This was Day 1 of our weekend adventure. We launched from Cedar near Nanaimo and kayaked to Pirate's Cove - we got up close and personal with seals and inter-tidal marine life. Passing between sandstone walls and following the shore brought us to camp where we ate the first delicious meal.
To work up an appetite, we hiked around the island and heard mystical tales of The Cult of Brother 12 and hidden treasure.
Dinner was in the dark - but the taste was clear - another fantastic meal!
Check out the video highlights and don't miss day 2 & 3, too!
