Having travelled from SW Ontario across the Trans Canada Highway to visit my daughter in Pemperton, my wife and I decided to travel to Pemperton via the northern approach from Lilloet via scenic Highway 99.
The early October weather was mixed sun, rain showers and some snow showers. The drive was great with wonderful scenery and suddenly after rounding a curve we witnessed a rainbow after a snow/rain shower passed by.
The position of the rainbow led us to pose infront of it. A memorable moment but only one of many during a great trip through the Rockies in BC.
My daughter and husband both work at Whistler and that is another wonderful memory and another storey.

We went "down the hill" into the Bella Coola Valley last summer and it is even prettier than we remembered it from our first visit. The people were very friendly and the scenery was spectacular. We made several friends in the town of Hagensborg and saw the Native crafts in the town of Bella Coola. We hiked and explored the whole area before we went back up the hill and continured our travels in the Chilcotin area. We will be back.

Lytton, River Rafting
Find more information about Lytton - River Rafting
For years my husband and I would drive through the Fraser Canyon, where the land soars up from the river and there he would watch river rafters conquering the mighty Fraser River.
Last year we got up our courage and decided to make a day trip down the Fraser River with Kumsheen Whitewater Rafting near Lytton, BC
We were very impressed with the professionalism that the staff conducted and were pleasantly surprised how our guide had all of us on the raft working as a team and enjoying each other's company. The staff made sure we had a thrill of a lifetime, sparing no dryness!
Kumsheen also has a wonderful resort for the rafters use, stemming from lifesize chess to beach volleyball, rock climbing, pool and spa, disc golf, basketball, tetherball or just plain relaxing afterwards in their lounge or coffee bar or at a nearby waterfall. There is something for just about everyone.
We certainly weren't disappointed and encourage everyone to try rafting at least once in their lifetime.
