Dining options are extremely limited in Alert Bay, but good food can be enjoyed in a variety of waterfront-strip restaurants and purchased from the local grocery store.
Cafés
The Culture Shock Interactive Gallery, a two-minute walk west on Front Street from the ferry, is the best spot for those craving a fruit smoothie or upscale, barista-prepared caffeine fix.
Casual Fare
Stroll along Fir Street east from the ferry terminus to scope out the selection. The upstairs restaurant at the Pass 'N Thyme Inn is a bright, friendly space with a fine selection of seafood appetizers and tasty range of sandwiches, wraps, and surf/turf entrees.
The deli counter at the Shop Rite grocery store (89 Fir Street) sells sliced meats and makes sandwiches to go.
