Prince of Whales has been sharing premiere whale-watching & marine-wildlife experiences with the world for over 20 years! With year-round departures from Vancouver & Victoria, we have welcomed more than 250,000 guests to our local waters. Our floating classrooms provide an educational platform for guests interested in observing & learning about the unique behaviours of marine wildlife in their natural habitats.

From May to September our semi-covered cruiser departs daily from the Westin Bayshore Hotel in downtown Vancouver on one of Canada's designated Canadian Signature Experiences. Enjoy comfort, convenience, spectacular views, & expert guidance as you search for whales & marine mammals on your way to Victoria. Your day continues with an afternoon at The Butchart Gardens followed by scenic cruise behind Salt Spring Island on route to downtown Vancouver.

Policies & Restrictions

Cancellation Policy
For all non-group reservations, 24 hour cancellation policy applies to all bookings. Cancellations must be made to 1.888.383.4884.
Group Policy
Group discounts may apply. Depending on group size, payments must be secured with minimum lead time. Please call for details.
Age Restrictions
Fly-Whales-Fly guests travelling to Victoria and looking to whale watch on a Zodiac Whale Watching Adventure must be at least seven years of age.
Clothing Gear Required
Please come prepared for cool weather. Dress in layers. It is always colder on the water than one might expect. Trip temperatures are typically 10 degrees Celsius or 18 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than the temperature on land. Recommended clothing items include long pants, close toed shoes, a sweat shirt or fleece, and a jacket to break the wind. Guests are also advised to bring sunglasses as the help to shield the eyes when travelling at high speeds.
Height Restrictions
Fly-Whales-Fly guests travelling to Victoria and looking to whale watch on a Zodiac Whale Watching Adventure must be at least 1 metre (40 inches) tall.
Mobility Restrictions
Persons with mobility restrictions are welcome to join our tours; however, mobility aids must be stowed away or stored in our office prior to each departure. There is no wheelchair access. In the case of serious physical disability, it will be up to the discretion of the captain based on safety. Please contact our office for more information.
