Within the museum's exhibit galleries, highlights of the region's pioneer & First Nation's history & culture are presented through artifacts, historic photographs, dioramas, displays & scale models. Fine items of clothing from the 18th century, weavings, quiltings & carvings, displays of exploration, natural history, early schools, churches, farming, forestry, mining for gold & harvesting the bounty from the sea - these items & more compete for the attention of the visitor.

We also offer special group tours & meals.

Our Gift Shop offers local art & crafts, plus books, toys, clothing & much more.

40 min drive from downtown Victoria, via Hwy 14, also known as the Pacific Marine Circle Route.
