The Cranbrook History Centre offers a specialized experience for all ages. From guided tours of 17 restored railcars to self-guided tours of the facility. You will find interpretive information & exhibits on local and regional history, paleontology, natural history & first nation's culture. Walk through the opulence of the beautiful Royal Alexandra Hall, built in Winnipeg in 1906, a rare example of Edwardian architecture in CP hotels, was considered the social centerpiece of Winnipeg before its closure in 1967. Widely considered the most elegant public venue in southeastern BC. If you are passionate about model trains working dioramas, then our model train room is a must see. The size of the collection, layout, and dedication to detail and craftsmanship will both amaze and delight you.

Due to the size of hallways on the train cars wheelchairs and larger walkers can not be accommodated on the Train tours.
