At their Averill Creek Vineyard, Andy and Wendy Johnston handcraft wines from their 49 ac (20 ha) estate vineyard set on the south slope of Mt. Prevost, overlooking the Cowichan Valley. Visitors can taste wine by the glass, or bring a picnic and enjoy wine by the bottle on the patio while taking in the views of Cowichan Bay. The wines include Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir and red blends Prevost and Foch Cab. Averill Creek wines can be found in private stores and restaurants in BC and AB, or order directly from the winery.
