Age Restrictions
We can accommodate most ages; should you wish to bring under 18s on our multi-day tours or under 12s on our day tours, please call us so we can help ensure all participants' expectations are met.
Clothing Gear Required
We provide the kayaking specific gear, tents, sleeping mats, food, kitchen, tarps, etc on our tours.
You are expected to bring regular outdoor clothing, waterproofs, toiletries and general travel equipment. Most people prefer their own sleeping bags, but we can provide them on request.
A packing list will be provided.
Height Restrictions
Should you have any concerns about kayaking and your height, please give us a call. The vast majority of people can be accommodated with comfort, provided we know in advance. To help ensure your comfort, we will request height and weight information of all participants at time of booking.
Mobility Restrictions
Kayaking is typically a participative activity and full mobility is required.
North Island Kayak prides itself in having helped many people with less than full mobility enjoy our tours and the experiences they provide. Should you, or a member of your party, have any mobility or other issues, please contact us. Together we can try to find a way for you to participate.
