9851 Hwy 93/95, Fort Steele,
British Columbia, V0B 1N0

The past lives and breathes at Fort Steele Heritage Town.

Perched on the western slopes of the Rocky Mountains since its gold rush beginnings in 1864, the village has gone from boomtown, to regional centre, to ghost town, to one of the most important heritage attractions of its kind in British Columbia.

Enjoy old-time trade demonstrations, steam train rides, and Clydesdale horse-drawn wagon tours. Try gold panning, watch live theatre and street performances, and observe the museum displays - including some exciting traveling exhibits from time to time. Or simply enjoy the gorgeous views in a Kootenay Rockies setting. There's no time like the present and no fun like the past.

We look forward to having you step back in time with us.
