Fort St. James National Historic Site lies on the spectacular shores of Stuart Lake, BC. The heritage is rich & the setting filled with stories of yesteryear & echoes of the past. Our site is comprised of 7 buildings which make up the largest collection of wooden buildings commemorating the fur trade in Canada. As part of the Parks Canada system of protected places, we are an important part of Canadian heritage. Our accommodation experience includes dinner & breakfast, use of the historic site after hours & access to historic games & recreational opportunities throughout the evening of your stay.
