I've been doing research for a recent trip to Vancouver Island and Prince Rupert Area.  It seems every area boasts about the best fishing, the best whale watching, the best kayaking.  Help!! How can I vary my experiences in the island?  We're starting in Nanaimo, going to Tofino, Campbell River, Port Hardy, inside passage to Prince Rupert and then back to the island and on to Vancouver.  Any great ideas or recommendations?  Any help would be appreciated.

Hello from Quadra Island!
While travelling in the Campbell River area, you should try to take the 10 minute ferry crossing to Quadra Island. There is a variety of accommodation on Quadra, including some very affordable 4-star, as well as a number of interesting and fine quality eating establishments. I work at one of them, although I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be using this site for commercial use, so I won't mention the name. A visit to historic Cape Mudge Lighthouse provides some spectacular photo opportunities with the swirling waters of Discovery Passage in the foreground and the snowcapped mountains of Vancouver Island as a backdrop. Rebecca Spit Provincial Park is a "must see" and an excellent beachside walk. There are also numerous hiking trails on Quadra Island for all levels of hikers. A number of companies rent kayaks or provide guided kayaking trips. Guided fishing is also available for booking. It is well worth the visit!
Enjoy your travels in BC!
